LtCol Armando Gonzalez – A Transitioning Military Officer Who Has Served the USMC for Almost Three Decades

LtCol Armando Gonzalez is a transitioning military officer who has served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) at various positions since 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chapman University, Orange, CA. He also has a Master’s of Science degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, San Diego, CA. He has expertise in diverse areas. As a military officer, he specializes in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Cost Management, and Data Management.

LtCol Armando Gonzalez has received many awards/commendations for his work. From 07/11 to 07/13, he received the Colombian Marines Service Medal for Support to the Colombian Marine Forces. During this time-period, he also received the US Defense Meritorious Service Medal for service as the USMC Rep to Colombia. Armando is also the recipient of the Admiral Stanley R. Arthur Award (2006) for Logistics Team Excellence for the Evacuation of U.S. Citizens from Lebanon through Cyprus. From 08/05-02/2007, he received the Meritorious Service Medal while for service as the ‘Asst. Logistics Officer’ for Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Evacuation in Lebanon.

While serving as a Commanding Officer of Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, Yuma, AZ from 06/14 to 04/2016, LtCol Armando Gonzalez proactively managed simultaneous logistics support enterprises on opposite sides of the globe. He was able to establish effective global communications & successfully sustained dual site operations.
