LtColArmando Gonzalez is a resourceful military
officer with years of experience under his belt. He started his
career as a young enlisted Marine and mostly recently has served an
Assistant Logistics Officer at Expeditionary Strike Group Three in
CA. While with ESG-3, he served as Logistics Liaison Officer in the
Iraq theatre to expedite personnel/cargo flow and facilitate
logistical support for operations and exercises, along with
coordinating local housing for military personnel in foreign
countries. He also coordinated the movement of over 1200 personnel,
30k pounds of cargo to/from objective areas in four countries. He
served as the primary advisor to the Naval Commander on Marine
logistics and for all Marine specific support.
After two
years, LtCol Armando
Gonzalez joined Marine Wing Support
Squadron 373 as Operations Officer where he provided staff oversight
to ensure the unit’s personnel were trained for deployment;
specifically, he focused his efforts on ensuring personnel understood
all sub functions of ground support logistics that included key areas
of motor, transport, engineering services, food services,
communications, heavy equipment support, security and law
enforcement, refueling, fire and rescue. He also planned and
supervised over 30 major civic construction projects to support the
local population in Iraq.
In the year
2011, LtCol ArmandoGonzalez assumed the role of Executive
Officer at Marine Wing Support Squadron 373. As executive officer,
he led his staff in coordinating and integrating all staff planning
for logistical and aviation ground support. Later in his tour, he
deployed to Afghanistan where he served as a key player in several
airfield modification construction projects there. He is interested
in business articles, foreign affairs, trade, oil, exploration
finance, Middle East, India, China etc…
