LtCol Armando Gonzalez is a military officer having more than
twenty-eight years of experience. Presently, he is serving the United
States Marine Corps in Yuma, AZ as a Staff officer. He provides
executive level staff support to the commander, oversees installation
logistics functions covering supply, facilities, transportation and much
more. As a military officer, he served in many different positions and
performed a slew of responsibilities:
- As a commanding officer
with the MWSS 371, LtCol Armando Gonzalez prepared and recommended the
supplemental policy & program instruction affecting multiple
logistical support operations covering areas like camp construction,
food service, supply, & transportation.
- He served as Europe
Region Desk Officer at Headquarters US Marine Corps where he developed
and coordinated Marine Corps service level policy and strategic
communication with partnering nations. He also coordinated the visits by
foreign dignitaries.
- From the year 06/11 to 6/13, he was the
USMC representative to Colombia. While there he functioned as principal
advisor to the Colombian Marine Corps covering various functional area
to include budgeting and forecasting for future requirement to help
train Colombian Marines.
- Prior to this, he was an executive officer (2011) and an operations officer (2009) at Marine Wing Support Squadron 373 in San Diego, CA. Prior to his tour at MCAS Miramar, he served as a logistics officer with Expeditionary Strike Group 3, San Diego, CA.
